Our commitment

Jerome Handy Wash wants every visitor to be able to use our website and our laundromat. Accessibility matters to us, and we built it in from the start rather than adding it later.

Website accessibility

We are working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C. This site includes adjustable text size, a high contrast mode, a reduced motion setting, keyboard navigation throughout, and text alternatives for images. We are not claiming to have finished. Where we fall short we would rather hear about it than have you assume we already know.

A physical place built to be accessible

As a public accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA Title III), our facility at 921 N Lincoln Ave, Suite A is built to be accessible. It has a level entry with a detectable warning strip, accessible parking, an accessible family restroom, and a clear path of travel into and through the laundromat.
