Privacy Policy
How Jerome Handy Wash handles the limited information connected to our website and our business.
What we collect
This website does not create accounts for you, does not run advertising or tracking cookies, and does not build a profile of you. It does have one contact form, and that form does send us what you type into it. Everything below explains what happens to it.
Accessibility preferences stay on your device
If you adjust accessibility settings on this site, such as text size, contrast, or reduced motion, those choices are saved in your own browser using local storage. That information stays on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.
Information you send us directly
When you call (208) 420-6328 or email help@jeromehandywash.com, we receive whatever you include, such as your name, phone number, email address, and your message. We use it only to answer you. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for marketing.
No third-party tracking
This website does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social media trackers, or similar tools. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not follow you around the web.
Children
Our website is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Questions and changes
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. We may update it as our business changes. If we make changes, we will post the new version here with a current date. For any privacy question, contact us at help@jeromehandywash.com or (208) 420-6328. Operated by Jerome Handywash LLC. Mailing address: PO Box 2611, Twin Falls, ID 83303.
The contact form on this site
The message form asks for your name and how to reach you, plus your message. It is handled by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, which passes the submission on to us by email and keeps a copy in our account there. Only the two of us who run the laundromat read it. We use it to answer you, and for nothing else.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through the form or by email: about a year, then deleted, unless the message became a real customer matter. Records connected to an actual transaction or a machine problem: kept as long as the tax and business records rules require. Accessibility settings: those never reach us at all, because they stay in your own browser. Website server logs: kept on our host’s normal short cycle and used only to keep the site online and to spot abuse.
Your choices
You have the right to access what we hold about you, the right to correct anything that is wrong, the right to delete what we are not legally required to keep, and the right to opt out of us contacting you. Email help@jeromehandywash.com or call (208) 420-6328 and ask. You do not need to give a reason and you will not be treated any differently for asking. We answer these ourselves, because there is nobody else here to pass it to.
Children under 13
This is a laundromat. The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, which is the standard the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA, sets. If you believe a child has sent us something through this site, email us and we will delete it.
The privacy laws people ask about
We would rather tell you where you actually stand than imply a compliance department that does not exist behind a two person business. California: the CCPA and CPRA apply to businesses far larger than this one, so as written they do not cover us, but we will honour a California resident’s request to know, delete or correct anyway, using the contact details above. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. Europe and the United Kingdom: we are a single laundromat in Jerome, Idaho. We do not offer services in the EU or the UK and we do not monitor anybody’s behaviour there, so the GDPR and UK GDPR do not ordinarily reach us. If you are there and you have written to us anyway, you can still ask for access, correction, deletion or portability, or object to our use of it, and we will deal with it.
